About Rye Health and Care

RYE HEALTH AND CARE is a charity dedicated to supporting the health and wellbeing of people across Rye, Winchelsea and the surrounding villages.

On the unique Memorial Care Centre site owned by the Charity, services include:

Rye, Winchelsea and District Memorial Hospital which is owned by the Charity and operated by East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust; and the Hub which the Charity owns and independently operates.

In addition, the partners on our site are:

  • Rye Medical Centre.
  • St Bartholomew’s Court.
  • Residential care home (which is being developed)

We bring together essential health and care and everyday connection in one accessible location.

Our approach is guided by five core pillars: health, community, care, support and inclusivity. These values shape everything we do, from delivering high-quality health and care services to creating opportunities for people to meet, participate, and feel part of something bigger.

We believe that wellbeing extends beyond clinical care. It is about feeling connected, supported, and valued within your community. That’s why RYE HEALTH AND CARE is more than a place to receive treatment, it is a place where people can build relationships, access support, and enjoy activities that enhance quality of life.

Working in partnership with local organisations, volunteers, and service providers, we aim to ensure that everyone, regardless of background, age, or circumstance, can access the support and opportunities they need. Our site model enables us to respond flexibly to the evolving needs of our community while maintaining a strong foundation of trusted services.

At RYE HEALTH AND CARE, we are proud to serve our community by creating a space where people can come together to live healthier, more connected, and more fulfilling lives.
